I was pleasantly surprised that Bree Mills took an old-fashioned (relatively speaking) approach to her crossover film “Teenage Lesbian”, rather than the facetious, fake-hip tone of her hundreds (nay, thousands) of porn vignettes shot over the past 5 years.

When the REAL LESBIAN CHARACTER™️ comes in she is actually good. Well, good for the standards of the film I guess. Actually, that sex scene is the first one that makes any fucking sense! The director does know how to direct the actors on actual lesbian sex. I do get sucked out of the immersion every time I see her huge ridiculous cursive text tattoo though.
Yeah I can’t lie, it gets pretty hot. Wait, “trim up a little?” She doesn’t have that much hair. Isn’t feminism supposed to like pubic hair? Anyway.

Oh I forgot to mention this film is supposed to be the 90s. The set design is very lazy so you forget that this is the case sometimes. Question from a Gen Zer: Did all girls dress like lesbians in the 90s or is lesbian fashion stuck in the 90s?

Unlike another new crossover project from Bree, the improbable thriller “Perspective”, this drama holds up nicely in its R-rated 89-minute cut (which was reissued in May 2023 as a VOD titled “Unveilled Teen Lesbians”), reminiscent of those exploitation genre “problem pictures” so popular back in the ’50s, ’60s and “70s (e.g., Jerry Gross’s memorable “Teenage Mother”)….
