Ponte Aérea (2015) – Storyline/Plot:

Bruno and Amanda have to face the difficulties of a long distance relationship after meeting in a flight forced into an emergency landing.

A flight from Rio de Janeiro to Sao Paulo has its course diverted to Belo Horizonte, due to the heavy rain that punishes the state capital. Faced with the unforeseen, passengers are hosted in a hotel so that, the next morning, they go to Sao Paulo. Among them are the carioca Bruno (Caio Blat) and Paulista Amanda (Leticia Colin), who meet at the hotel. After a quick flirtation, they spend the night together but they are disconnected the next day, since Bruno takes a flight early. In Sao Paulo, he looks for her the day she is promoted at the advertising agency where she works. Gradually the feeling between them intensifies, even if they have to deal with the difficulties of the 432 kilometers of distance between the cities that live.

Review of Ponte Aérea (2015 Film) :

I think it’s similar to what you have in the same genre in the United States, but the fact that it is lived in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro made the story somewhat special. The phrases, the places, the outlook on life and how to behave in each are in fact something that belongs to these two cities, which makes it a very striking film.

I also didn’t feel situations were sketched: they were vivid and made sense, something that could happen in real life for any of us in the same position. Living in these cities for the last five years, the movie was very close to my reality.
