The Invisible Sex Maniac (1990) – Storyline/Plot:

A budding young scientist lad is caught by his mom checking out the lady across the way with his telescope, whereupon she lectures him on the evils of women. Twenty years later and all grown up, the scientist announces his theories of invisibility, and his colleagues laugh, to which he responds by killing four of them. He escapes from the loony bin and gets a job teaching summer school physics at a high school. The students decide to tease him about the same time as he perfects his invisible juice, and he goes on a spree of vengeance.

Review of The Invisible Maniac (1990 Film):

A problem that has afflicted humanity for decades is solved by a crazed science teacher (Noel Peters). How can we become invisible and spy on chicks in the shower without being noticed?

What a film, what a premise, what a conclusion! The Invisible Maniac is the pinnacle of schlock, telling the story of a man who transforms into an invisible character in order to exact vengeance on students who delight in making his life miserable. Obviously he carves out opportunity to slip into the ladies’ showering offices at least a few times to get a pinnacle and I don’t fault him. While made in 1990, Imperceptible Lunatic has every one of the unadulterated and straightforward characteristics that made the 80’s so exceptional. The girls take a lot of showers, everyone is sex-crazed, and an invisible science teacher is attempting to kill them all. How could you possibly want anything more?

The film does not mince words, but it does so in a clever way. The Invisible Maniac adheres to the formula but manages to be a little bit different on occasion. It is purposefully being cheesy, over the top, and exploitative. Although I won’t go into too much detail, the virginal heroine does not save the day. The characters are cliche but fun, and they never miss an opportunity for some good-old-fashioned female nudity. The dialogue is hilarious. Enjoy every scene with the lovely Shannon Wilsey and Melissa Moore and their “friends.” Never has satire, ghastliness, and delicate center pornography met up to give us such a milestone film!

You can call it misogynistic, but I just think it’s fun. The Invisible Maniac is a must-see for anyone who enjoys these kinds of movies (you know who you are). Shannon Wilsey, RIP.
